A Better Open Ceremony Performance Than Expected

The performance at open ceremony of the 29th Olympic Games has been going on, but would end quickly. Generally, this is a better performance than I expected. It showes ancient China, modern China, Chinese culture, ancient Chinese science and technologies. Also, the style of performance suits Zhang Yimou's, like a true movie.

However, an unsatisfied point is that the digit "2008" used too many times, I think, and it lacks internationalized music, dances, etc.

Here are some pictures from xinhuanet.com:

1. 2008 drums and players

2. Olympic flag

3. 2008 Taiji players

3. Sarah Brightman and LIU Huan singing You and Me

P.S.: Thank Xinhua Agency's journalists who taking so beautiful pictures.
