I think that scholastic corruption exists in all over the world. Only more or less in a country. But I am in China. Scholastic corruption/fake is more serious than other advanced nations, I think.
The basic cause is economic. Some domestic scholar copy papers, fake data, ..., only for a professional title, because a higher professional title could make them get more salary, apply greater projects. They choose the fault way, the faster way. Only for their advantages, they do against scholastic principles, moral principles.
