This noon, my advisor discussed my future about my research, my English tests and my academic career with me. According to his analysis:
- I have not taken TOEFL, and get score good enough, although I got a score on GRE good to apply a graduate school;
- I am a Master-PhD student, no chance to get Master of Engineering degree, and not being well to support a higher degrees abroad;
- I have spent too much time, for about a year and a half, to prepare the English tests, like GRE, TOEFL, but got not good scores, therefore examinations do not fit me;
- Eventhough I will have taken TOEFL the former half year, I will wait to the end of the year or the beginning of the next year to study abroad. It is not valuable to study English full-time.
I should work hard to graduate earlier, trying hard.
But there still is a problem, I think, that an aspiring person should eye on future. If we do not have experience like study / research in other advanced countries, such as USA, UK, Germany, France, and so forth, we can not grasp the real frontier of sciences and technologies, but the tail of the frontiers of the S&T. And more importantly, the scientific attitudes should be brought back to inspire instutes to comply to.
However, I will stick to my plan made by myself in working in 2008.
